Campbell Brown Goes To Town On Sexism and Sarah Palin... With a Twist.
I'll be honest, I don't know if this feels real or a little too theatrical, but regardless Campbell Brown has a point, and I like it. Nice of her to flip the sexism claim, and I'd love to see what Carly Fiorina has to say about this rant.
I have to think this is more than a little bit tongue-in-cheek. Everybody knows they're trying to protect Palin because even though Biden puts his foot in his mouth every single day, she'll get way more press for every little gaffe.
Sure sure, fair enough, but I for one just can't imagine the possibility of voting for someone to be so so so close to leading the nation without knowing thing one about her. Matt Damon cleverly pointed out the actuarial tables showing maybe a 1-in-3 chance that McCain doesn't survive 4 yrs in office, but what about factoring in the fact that the guy isn't just 72, he was tortured intensely for 5 years as a young man and he's had multiple bouts of a potentially deadly form of cancer.
Put more in context, 20% of Vice Presidents in American history have become President. Hence, even if you look at it that way, knowing about how Sarah Palin will fare in front of reporters seems like a no-brainer, right? Even if she's not running for Vice Interviewer-in-chief, I just don't believe that reporters are going to be as tough as Putin, Ahmadinejad, or hell, even Gordon friggin Brown.
If she can't face the music and take some heat now, why should anyone feel comfortable voting for a ticket that would place her at 2nd in command? Honestly, my friend, I'm baffled by this question, and since I know you're on the fence about the election this fall, I would love your input and insight.
Put simply: Can you really stomach voting to put a nearly complete unknown and wildcard a 72-year-old heartbeat away from running our nation?
Wildcard!?!!?!? Have you seen that episode of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" where they try to sell gasoline on the street? You just reminded me of it.
